New Zealand Stamp, 2019 Colin McCahon 1919-1987

The five stamps of Colin Mccashon, New Zealand artists have been widely recognized as the leading New Zealand painter. Throughout the 45 years, his work spans many themes, headings, and styles ranging from landscape to abstraction and the use of new drawing text. Adjusting the view of modern images to specific local situations and serious engagement with spiritual things makes him stand out in the twentieth century art.

During the year 1960, Machonhon was more successful in his performance and was recognized both in New Zealand and abroad. It is regarded as New Zealand’s most important modern artist, especially the landscape.

Mchonhon has died with alcoholism. On 27 May 1987
