France Stamp, 2018 Philatelic

Paris-Philex 2018 will take place from 07 to 10 June 2018, in Porte de Versailles. The theme of the 2018 edition is Paris, in the continuity of the Golden Block 2016. This block aims to highlight the know-how of the printing press and to be an aesthetic representation of Paris.

The choice of the Grand Palais echoes the stamp “Paris 2024”. The bottom of the block, cut from the Grand Palais, is made thanks to a drawing by the architecture agency © LAN (the LAN agency, winner for the development of the Grand Palais). The four hallmarks of the stamps selected for the Golden Block 2018 are places where sporting competitions will take place during the 2024 Olympic Games. A nod is made to the 2016 Golden Block with the stamp commemorating the fiftieth anniversary of the Eiffel Tower.
