Lunar Year issues are always popular with collectors, and the ones CIT strike for Mongolia have become annual favorites! The 2022 issue, which features the «Year of the Tiger», will celebrate the 6th anniversary of the series.
Like in past years, there will be three distinct and highly collectible releases – a unique one ounce silver coin in the shape of a Tiger, a five gram silver banknote, and a 0.5 gram gold proof.
The first is struck in one ounce of fine silver and shows the charming tiger as a three-dimensional numismatic sculpture. Its design reflects the grace of a wild animal but also the charm of a soothing cat. The tiger is minted in a way that allows it to stand freely on its own which makes it an ideal display and conversation piece. It comes presented in an elegant collector’s box and is limited to only 999 pieces.
The second release shows the charming tiger on a highly detailed five gram silver banknote. This special banknote shows wonderfully the contrast between the different silver finishes as well as the brilliant color that has been expertly applied. This note carries a Legal Tender denomination of 100 Togrog and is limited to only 5,000 pieces.
