Hong Kong Stamp, 2019 Year of the Pig

The twelve Chinese zodiac signs have long been used to mark years in China, and are regarded as a cornerstone of traditional Chinese culture. Today, the Chinese zodiac signs are still of profound significance, and this is reflected in the wide adoption of these signs in various Chinese folk customs and numerous arts and crafts. To usher in the Year of the Pig in 2019, Hongkong Post presents the eighth issue in the fourth Lunar New Year special stamp series, featuring a set of four stamps portraying pigs in different art forms to highlight the theme of the Year of the Pig. The set of special stamps, with associated philatelic products, will be released for sale on 12 January 2019 (Saturday).
